Moving within/to Helmond
Are you moving? Make sure to inform the municipality where you will be living. Even if you are moving within Helmond, you still need to report this. You can report your move from 28 days before the moving date up to 5 days afterward. Reporting your move later? In that case, we will register your move on the date we receive your notification. Reporting a move is free of charge.
Note: Is this a first registration or re-registration from abroad? In that case, you must make an appointment by phone via 14 0492. This cannot be done online.

Frequently asked questions
- You must be 16 years or older.
- You need the resident's permission if you are moving in with someone.
- The move must be reported by:
- yourself
- a parent, guardian, or caregiver
- cohabiting spouses or registered partners (if they move to the new address together)
- cohabiting parents and adult children (18+) (if they move to the new address together)
- a legal representative
- an adult with written permission
- We assess your digital application on the next working day.
- A few days after your moving date, you will receive a written confirmation at your new address.
- The moving date you specify will be recorded as the official moving date.
- If you report your move later than 5 days after moving, the reporting date will be registered as the moving date.
- Your move will be processed within 5 working days.
- Is it not possible to report your move online? Call 14 0492 for assistance or to make an appointment at the House for the City (Huis voor de Stad).
If you are moving in with someone, you will need permission from the main resident. They can give consent online with DigiD during your moving notification. If this is not possible, we will send you a form by email.
Make sure your house is registered as completed with the building inspector. Without this registration, we cannot process your moving notification.

- Employee Insurance Agency (UWV)
- Health insurers
